The end of CSI

After 15 years, CSI Las Vegas has come to an end. Last week I heard the news that the American network CBS wouldn't be renewing the show after the current 15th season came to a close. In the UK, the last episode of CSI was aired two Saturday's ago on Channel 5 with promises of a 2 hour final movie to be aired sometime in September. Why September! That's ages away!

For the past 4 years, CSI has been my favourite TV show. On Sky you get all of the repeats from different seasons so about 4 years ago I started buying each season on dvd. I eventually caught up to the current seasons mainly steaming them online, months before they aired on UK television and I still ended up buying the whole collection on dvd.
I don't know why, but I've only been able to get into the Las Vegas CSI franchise and not the other ones. I don't know why i like the Vegas one so much, maybe it's the characters, I love all of the main CSI characters. The best storyline from the whole show would have to be the Nate Haskell serial killer case, it went on for ages but had me gripped until the very end. From watching CSI it's also made me really interested in visiting Las Vegas one day, not for the crime scenes but for the bright lights.

I'm really sad that CSI is ending and that I have to wait ages for the final episodes. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed in a TV show before but I'm sure I'll find something to watch in its place.

Are you a fan of CSI? What's your favourite storyline?

Thanks for reading
