Disney inspired bedroom ideas*

Once upon a time when I was a child I was obsessed with Disney. Lion King was and still is my all time favourite Disney film and i remember a neighbour of mine had Pochahontis wallpaper and I was well jealous! I would have loved to have had a disney inspired bedroom when i was younger. Now that i have a child of my own  I'm pretty keen to transform his bedroom into a Disney film. Here are a few ideas for any Disney obsessed kids (parents) out there...

Toy Story
One of the best Disney films that will always be a classic and stand the test of time is Toy Story. The characters are so popular and merchandise is really easy to get hold of these days. I've seen quite a few Toy Story inspired bedrooms on instagram that i know i would kill for as a child.

Disney Princess
The most loved Disney characters in my  opinion are probably the Disney princesses, whether it be Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine etc everybody probably has their own favourite princess. Typically if your little girl is a girly girl they may be interested in having a typical pinky princess room.

Mickey Mouse
If it's one character that defines Disney its probably Mickey Mouse. Over the years I've seen some really nice and tasteful Mickey Mouse wallpapers that would make a great addition. I also think that Mickey Mouse isn't gender specific so can be for both boys and girls.

When decorating your childs room you can go as simple or extreme as you want, if you've got a passion for decorating you can usually find some beautiful bits that don't break the bank. But what if you wanted to be extreme and even match your curtains or blinds to the theme of your room. VELUX blinds have recently introduced a collection of Disney inspired blinds featuring some of Disneys most loved characters.
I've mentioned in a previous post last year that I would love to  get a loft conversion and that VELUX windows would be a great addition, i absolutely love the 12 designs in the Disney & VELUX Dream collection. I don't think I could pick a favorite, their is a good choice of options for both boys and girls rooms.

I'd love to know which is your favourite Disney character and would you ever have a Disney inspired bedroom for your child or even yourself???
